The IPT Polytechnic Institute was founded on May 10, 2004 in the city of Tampa. It arose, due to a need in the Hispanic community of an institution that trained professionals in the technical field, with fast, uncomplicated, inexpensive careers, that provided its graduates with a better future, through an easier time in the search for jobs in the tech industry.

The acceptance of IPT by the Hispanic Community was so great, the Institute extended its horizons from Tampa Bay to the beautiful city of Orlando, in Central Florida, with the creation of the new IPT Polytechnic Institute – Orlando Campus, in January of 2012. This new technical education institution came to the city of Orlando to accomplish the goal of meeting the training needs of the Hispanic community and to support and breed technical professionals for a greater contribution to society, in general.

Orlando Campus, in short time, proved to be a great success in the region and graduated hundreds of technicians, in both Air Conditioning and Electricity. Its growth and development in the years after its premiere were so strong, that it officially became independent from Tampa following the quarantine and modernized its curriculum to better serve its students and the Latino community in Central Florida. Today, the institution tirelessly strives to uphold its original slogan: “Prestige and Excellence in Technical Education.”

To achieve this goal, the IPT Polytechnic Institute – Orlando Campus, counts on the collaboration and participation of its students who, day after day and week after week, attend its classrooms to receive an intensive technical education. The institution is equipped with vast laboratories, both mechanical and electrical, which serve as a guarantee for the comprehensive technical training of IPT graduates. Its teachers are engineers and master technicians, who have accumulated a vast experience in the technical-professional field and possess great knowledge in the field of technical education.
